Nature, culture, and history and mysticism are the main attractions that this tour across Costa Rica and Nicaragua offers. Visit Cartago, the Guayabo Archaeological Monument, the Gandoca Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge, and a coral reef, among other attractions. Enjoy the flora and fauna, as well as the magnificence of volcanoes and colonial cities.

Day 1

Meet and greet at the Juan Santamaría Airport in San José, and transfer to the Balmoral Hotel. Accommodations and dinner.

Day 2

Visit to the Archaeological Monument of Guayabo, passing through the city of Cartago. Lunch en route. Accommodations and dinner at the Guayabo Lodge Hotel in Turrialba.

Day 3

Departure to the Gandoca Manzanillo National Park in the South Caribbean where we will take some walks along the trails, and observe their fauna and flora. Lunch and free afternoon to enjoy the beach. Lodging and dinner at the Ciudad Perdida Ecolodge in Cahuita.

Day 4

Hike in the Cahuita National Park to observe its dense vegetation, and numerous species. Time to enjoy a snorkeling activity and lunch. Lodging and dinner at Ciudad Perdida Ecolodge in Cahuita.

Day 5

Departure to the northern region of Sarapiquí. On the way, we will visit the Heliconia Botanical Garden, where we will observe varieties of exotic flowers, among them the Bromeliads. Lunch en route. Dinner and accommodations at Hacienda La Isla Hotel.

Day 6

Boat trip on the Sarapiquí River to observe birds, alligators and iguanas. Lunch. In the afternoon, walk through La Tirimbina Reserve, a biological corridor for the protection of species. Dinner and accommodations at Hacienda La Isla.

Day 7

Departure to the Arenal Volcano area. Visit to the National Park including a walk through the ancient lava flows. Lunch. In the afternoon, return to the hotel and time to enjoy the thermal waters. Dinner and accommodations at the San Bosco Hotel.

Day 8

Visit to the Hanging Bridges in Arenal. Lunch en route, and in the afternoon, visit the to Don Juan Educational Farm, a rural project based on ecological and sustainable agriculture. Dinner and accommodations at the San Bosco Hotel.

Day 9

Visit to the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park, along Lake Arenal, having lunch on the way to Hacienda Guachipelín Hotel. Enjoy a free afternoon. Dinner and accommodations at the hotel.

Day 10

This morning we will walk on the trails of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park with its nine craters, rivers, waterfalls, fumaroles and geothermal energy sources. Lunch. Free afternoon. Dinner and accommodations at Hacienda Guachipelín.

Day 11

Departure for the City of Granada in Nicaragua, bordering Lake Nicaragua, from where we will observe its islands and volcanoes. Visit to the city, and lunch. In the afternoon, boat ride on the islands. Dinner and accommodations at the Almirante Hotel.

Day 12

Enjoy an excursion to the surroundings of Granada, San Juan de Oriente, Mirador de Catarina, the city of Masaya, and its handicraft market. Lunch. In the afternoon, free time in Granada. Dinner and accommodations at Hotel Almirante.

Day 13

Departure for the City of León, with a stop at the capital Managua. León was the first colonial city of the country, we will visit its cathedral and markets. Lunch. Return to Granada in the afternoon. Dinner and accommodations at Hotel Almirante.

Day 14

Departure for the Managua international airport to take a flight to San José, Costa Rica. Welcome and panoramic tour of the city of San José. Return to the hotel in the afternoon, dinner and accommodations at Hotel Balmoral.

Day 15

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, transfer to the Juan Santamaría International Airport to take your flight back home.

We recommend to bring
Bring departure airline tickets in hand, if you traveled to a South American country beforehand, bring the Yellow Fever vaccine certificate. Bring preferably American dollars.
Clothing for hot weather, bring a small backpack to carry water and necessary documents during the day.
