Our guide will meet you at the hotel reception or at the airport. The lodge is located at the foothills of the second largest national park in Honduras. Accommodations in the Lodge at Pico Bonito for two nights.

Day 2

Today you have plenty of time to discover the Pico Bonito National Park, one of Honduras’ most beautiful national parks, and home to a huge range of animal species. Free day to go hiking and refresh at one of the numerous natural pools of the Cangrejal river.

Day 3

In the morning, meet your Mesoamerica Travel guide to head back to San Pedro Sula. En route, visit the biggest Botanical Garden of Mesoamerica, Lancetilla. Here you will find the Arboretum, the Bamboo Forest, hardwood, medicinal and ornamental plants, as well as tropical fruit trees from all over the world. Accommodations in San Pedro Sula.

Day 4

In the morning, transfer to Omoa and visit to the historical San Fernando Fortress.  At noon, we will cross the border with Guatemala and shortly thereafter will arrive at the small port of Puerto Barrios. Discover the nature reserve’s diverse fauna and flora on a hiking tour, visit the nearby Mayan Ruins of Lubaantun or Nim Li Punit, go for a boat adventure on the Rio Grande or take a tour to one of the nearby caves, as well as a snorkeling, scuba diving, or fishing excursion.
