Tisey – La Estanzuela Reserve
It is a waterfall with impressive waters that fall over a cliff 40 meters high, its waters are like a huge golden hair that extends its strands on a monumental black rock. This beautiful jump offers the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim and rejoice with beautiful views, likewise, activities such as rappelling and climbing can be carried out.
The Salto La Estanzuela is only 5 kilometers from the city of Esteli, from there by bus or private vehicle it can take approximately 20 minutes to reach the site.
To access the place you have to pay a modest sum of 25 cordobas.
Address: By collective transport: From Managua at the Mercado El Mayoreo terminal, take a bus to Esteli, Ocotal or Somoto. Then in Esteli, take a bus on COTRAN SUR bound for the La Estanzuela – La Tejera community, 5 kms. to the south of the city, get off at the bus stop at the entrance to the waterfall.
By private vehicle: From the south-east side of the Esteli hospital, travel 5 kms. to the west towards the La Estanzuela community, arrive at the main gate and then travel 1 kilometer to the north. It is recommended to use a 4 x 4 vehicle to reach the jump itself.
