Beaches of Guanacaste
More than 200 km of beautiful beaches in the Pacific
The province of Guanacaste hosts dozens of beautiful beaches on its 200 kilometers of Pacific coast, some of them internationally recognized for their beauty and for the activities that take place in their surroundings, such as snorkeling, diving, and sailing trips, among others. The beaches of Guanacaste offer the most important sites for the practice of surfing and sport fishing on the high seas. Tamarindo, Flamingo, Penca, Conchal and Samara are among the outstanding beaches of Guanacaste.
The landscape of Guanacaste is dominated by the dry tropical forest and the biodiversity of the area. Given the popularity of the province, this area offers access through the Daniel Oduber International Airport.
In addition to its beautiful beaches, Guanacaste offers other tourist attractions such as the El Farallón National Monument, the popular Montadera or Bullfight, the Lagarteada in the Ortega neighborhood, the Cultural Week in Liberia, the White City, the Llanos del Cortés Waterfalls, and the Liberia River Canyon, among others.
