Day 1

Arrival in Guatemala City. Transfer to Barceló Hotel for overnight accommodations.

Day 2

Depart for La Antigua Guatemala, the former Spanish-colonial capital, for brief sightseeing of this charming town. After lunch, continue to Chichicastenango for overnight accommodations at Mayan Inn Hotel.

Day 3

Visit the colorful open-air market and Church of Santo Tomás. After lunch, return to Guatemala City via Lake Atitlán for a brief stop at the lake side village of Panajachel. Overnight accommodations at Barceló Hotel.

Day 4

This morning you will drive through the departments of El Progreso, Baja Verapaz, and Alta Verapaz, to arrive at Semuc Champey for a visit of this natural monument. Atop the bridge are seven stepped turquoise pools. In the afternoon, continue to Copán for overnight accommodations at Park Hotel.

Day 5

This morning you will drive to the border with Honduras. Drive to Copán, one of the most fascinating Mayan ruin sites. You will be allowed to explore and marvel at the beautiful stelae and majestic temples, including a complete ball court. Overnight accommodations at Marina Copán Hotel.

Day 6

After breakfast, you will return to Guatemalan territory to visit the archaeological site of Quiriguá. In the afternoon continue to Rio Dulce for overnight accommodations at Catamarán Hotel.

Day 7

In the morning join the boat excursion to Livingston and the San Felipe Castle. After lunch, you will be transferred to Tikal for overnight accommodations at Camino Real Tikal Hotel.

Day 8

Sightseeing of Tikal. In the afternoon, board your flight back to Guatemala City for overnight accommodations at Barceló Hotel.

Day 9

Transfer to La Aurora International Airport.
