SAN JOSÉ or LIBERIA – VOLCÁN ARENAL

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Arenal Volcano. The trip will allow us to visit some of the most picturesque towns in the country until we reach the volcano area.

If you purchased the optional activities package, you can visit the Hanging Bridges Forest Reserve, with an area of 243 hectares of protected forest. It is ideal for walkers who want to admire the features of the tropical rainforest. You can also descend a path of approximately 500 meters to reach the impressive Rio La Fortuna Waterfall, characterized by its fall of more than 60 meters, and its fresh, clean and clear water. During the tour, you can observe some plants, trees and animals from the area.

ARENAL VOLCANO– RINCÓN DE LA VIEJA

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Rincón de la Vieja. During the ride, you can enjoy the view of Lake Arenal, and the traditional areas of the country. Free afternoon to enjoy the hotel facilities.

If you purchased the optional activities package, in the morning there will be an exciting horseback ride on the trails of the dry tropical forest near the hotel.

RINCÓN DE LA VIEJA – GRANADA, NICARAGUA

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, transfer to Peñas Blancas, border with Nicaragua. After crossing the border, we will continue towards the city of Granada; lunch en route. Upon arrival in Granada, we will start the afternoon sailing in the waters of the majestic Lake Nicaragua or Cocibolca. The greatness of this lake will delight us in a boat ride. We will cross the more than 365 islets of volcanic origin, which have natural channels and exuberant vegetation, while we admire the Mombacho Volcano. Back in Granada, a horse-drawn carriage will be waiting for us to take a tour of this magnificent colonial city.

GRANADA, NICARAGUA

Breakfast at the hotel. Early departure to Managua, the capital city, to appreciate the mix of the present and the past that Managua evokes. We will visit icons such as the Old Santiago de los Caballeros Cathedral, the National Palace of Culture, the Rubén Darío National Theater and the monument to this famous Latin American poet, the Presidential House, the Hill and the Tiscapa Lagoon, where the museum is located in memory to the caudillo and national hero, General Augusto C. Sandino. After a delicious lunch in a traditional restaurant, we will continue to the Masaya Volcano National Park, the city of Masaya, a hammock factory, and the handicraft market. Return to Granada.

GRANADA, NICARAGUA – NORTH PACIFIC

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer back to Costa Rica, Free afternoon to enjoy the hotel amenities.

NORTH PACIFIC – SAN JOSÉ
