The province has been selected as part of a comprehensive development project, funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and implemented in collaboration with the Instituto de Desarrollo Integral (IDDI) and the international NGO CESAL.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of this project is to strengthen the sustainable tourism chain in Pedernales, promoting local economic development in harmony with environmental conservation and the preservation of local culture.
