The ride takes about three hours, but it is an indescribable journey. During the ride you will have the opportunity to see the road adorned with different colors, thanks to all the products that are grown in the most productive part of Guatemala. As you travel the road you will see onion, tomato, corn, pumpkin, carrot, and zucchini plantations, and many other products that are used for local\u00a0 consumption as well as for exports to other countries.<\/p>\n<p>Arrival and lunch at Casa Blanca restaurant in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitcentroamerica.com\/en\/visitar\/panajachel\/\">Panajachel<\/a>. Depart the town of Ataco for Salcoatit\u00e1n, where we will visit the Botanical Garden of Bromeliads, a collection of beautiful tropical American plants, and will continue to Nahuizalco, our last stop on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitcentroamerica.com\/en\/visitar\/route-of-the-flowers\/\">Route of the Flowers<\/a>. We will have free time to visit and buy souvenirs to take home in this beautiful town famous for its handicrafts made of wicker and tule.<\/p>\n<p>Then, we will head to San Salvador, and on the way will also visit El Boquer\u00f3n National Park, named after its largest volcano crater, worth getting to the edge to contemplate the force of nature in the huge crater. After this visit we will transfer to a local restaurant where you can eat with a wonderful view of the capital city. On a clear day, you can see Lake Ilopango and the Chinchontepec and San Vicente volcanoes on the horizon. After lunch we will visit the Historic Center of San Salvador, which has old buildings and squares that are an important part of the history of this country. At the end of the day, we will transfer to the hotel to check in. We will continue to the colonial town of Suchitoto, city founded by the Nahuatl and means \u201cPlace of Birds.\u201d We will have the opportunity to visit the indigo workshop with local women. The indigo or Jiquilite dye is a native plant from tropical areas and has been very important for the country since pre-Hispanic times, during the colony, and today.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer to a restaurant for lunch, and then visit the port of San Juan where we will take a boat ride on beautiful\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitcentroamerica.com\/en\/visitar\/lake-suchitlan\/\">Lake Suchitl\u00e1n<\/a>. We will take a tour of the largest water mirror in El Salvador, a Ramsar site, and the scenario for the visits of migratory water birds.
