The country's official capital newly founded in 1970, houses government offices and the National Assembly of Belize. Established at 75 km southwest of Belize City is made up mainly of government workers.

Actually, the city centre is a pedestrian street around which there is the market, government offices, banks, etc. but within a few miles around, there are several places of great attraction for visitors: the Guanacaste National Park, the Spanish Lookout Mennonite community centre of Belize and the Blue Hole National Park, a magnificent natural turquoise pool.

You can travel through these places alone or with the help of a local guide of the region but these are experiences not to be missed by the traveller.
